You are the only one who can decide how far to go with this.  I say . . . . .
. . . . .speak the truth.  Too much of the time everyone holds their tongues
for fear of reprisal.  Giving a mother a free year of formula is not a
wonderful gift in good faith.  It is direct encouragement to bottle feed the
baby.  Did anyone give a year of free services of a lactation consultant,
implying the baby will be breastfed, in order not to make the mother feel
guilty?
