Dear Friends:
So if herbs don't work, try psychotropic medications? Is that the message?
I don't get it. Is this doctor saying that the hot flashes are "all in your
head?"
This reminds me of a situation I am encountering far too often. I have
had a number of women, both friends and counselees, ask me about selective
serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) like Prozac and Paxil; the reason they
are considering the drug is that their husbands are acting like jerks.
Warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, MSN, Mother of 2, IBCLC, CIMI, CSTP
