>Re: breastfeeding advantages
This is one of my favorite LLL meeting ideas<
ok, its Friday afternoon, I am tired so not feeling terribly tactful, but
can I just mention that there are no advantages to breastfeeding?
Breastfeeding is the 'biological norm' (Latham), the 'physiological norm'
(Wiessinger) it represents the 'physiological blueprint' (Sachs), it is *the
standard* against which other interventions or replacements should be
measured.
To borrow an expression of my husband's sister: it really gets on my tits
to hear about the 'advantages of breastfeeding'. (although, yes, in the
past, I, too, have been guilty).
