I know that in Arkansas until recent years, any unexplained death of an
infant was recorded as "overlying" if the infant was in bed with a parent.
 Can you imagine all of the parents who were unnecessarily made to feel
terribly guilty?

Maybe that's the case with some of the numbers reported in the Pediatrics
article.
