Try gentian violet.  Don't need a doctor's prescription.  It is also a
good test for yeast infection, because it gets better very quickly if
it does.

The fact that the baby has or has not thrush in his mouth is
*irrelevant*.  A mother can have it and the baby not.  The baby can
have thrush and the mother not.
