Very sad that they if this occurs. Can be termed Horizontal violence. I have
worked many a 12 hr shift with other midwives (me too at one stage) who were
pumping. Found that most collegues were very supportive. Even if the unit
was so frantic that we were not able to take a meal break, someone always
found time to relieve the breastfeeder so she could pump.
