Is one occurrance of blood in the pump necessarily a major concern?
I have heard that on occasion a capillary may break resulting in a
small amount of blood. It doesn't take much to make the millk look
quite red. I wonder how many times this happens when baby is
nursing directly from the breast and we never see it. Of course
pumping technique and strength can be a reason for blood, but in
some cases it may be very benign.
