dear all,

i gave a party tonight for the church choir and nobody came (boo-hoo). so
y'all come right on over, cheesecake, chocolate torte, white chocolate cake,
champagne.

well, i WISH you could.

anyway, i have had lots of requests for the hcp letter already, and luckily
the newsletter editor could email it to me. it is no problem to send to anyone
who wants it, and although someone asked me to post it to lactnet, i
understand we cannot send attachments, and it is easy to send privately, so
please feel free to ask.

the editor is wondering if anyone can do her a favor in return? she is looking
for a copy of a Rubes cartoon entitled "udderfeeding in public." this was the
one of a cow with a blanket over her head and calf underneath, nursing. the
caption was along the lines of udderfeeding inpublic still not being accepted.
she is [log in to unmask] if you happen to have it.

i am proud to be the milk mother to my friend's adopted baby. he broke my
heart last year by mentioning that he knew i had nursed him and provided milk
for him when he was a baby (he is seven now), and asked if i was his real
mother? i was very glad that, although i had to tell him i was not his birth
mother, that being his milk mother was very important to me. he seemed
pleased.
