I agree that sometimes seeing the large breasts and nipples in the videos
can be worrying to mothers. When my daughter-in-law was pregnant, she said
to me one day "all the women in the videos and in the pictures at the
midwife's office seem to have much bigger nipples than I do. Are my flat
nipples going to be a problem for breastfeeding?" Before I had a chance to
answer, her husband (my son, who has spent much of his life at LLL meetings,
LLL conferences, just visiting with numerous breastfeeding friends) quickly
said "Oh, I've seen lots of women breastfeeding, and they have all different
kinds of nipples and all different sizes of breasts, and they all work just
fine. Don't worry, yours will work fine."

Of course he was right, and Sebastian is still nursing at 2 and 1/2. How
nice it would be if everyone saw so many women breastfeeding throughout
their childhood that they would know that "all shapes and sizes" work just
fine.
