I agree with Cindy that breastfeeding advice should not be offered over the
Internet, at least, not unless it is impossible to refer to someone local
who can help. I would be concerned about legal cover as well. I think
Cindy's idea of referring to some good books and finding a local LC or
counsellor much the best. I am not sure if my insurance cover from NCT
would extend to giving help over the net - I think it is possible that it
would, if the request came from someone who knew that I was offering help
as a qualified breastfeeding counsellor with NCT. However, as the net is
not a *usual* way of offering help by NCT counsellors, there could be a
query about this. I would still prefer the mother to have some local help.
