Dr. Hertz, I love that little synopsis on how to talk to moms about
formula vs. breastmilk. That is great. I was a little surprised to see
that you recommend moms go ahead and re-feed human milk if the bottle
was not finished. I have always thought that after the milk was fed, it
had to be tossed due to bacteria proliferation.

Just wondering if I'm out of the loop on this. What does everyone else
tell moms?

Thanks,
Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
