After my first, which was unmedicated but full of interventions, very quick
and 4 weeks early, I asked my husband to relate every detail to me more then
once...who said what, what time did that happen, what happened next. I was
"with it" enough to hear what I was told, to know it was wrong, but not with
it enough to challenge or change it. I remember lying on the delivery table
thinking "the doctor is not right" but doing what he said anyway.
