Susan Hilton posted a description of a baby with green frothy stools, fussy,
some blood. Also noted the baby hadn't gained well initially.... and asked
if dairy was a good "track" to pursue. From personal experience I would say
YES. My third baby did not gain weight and her fussiness didn't seem
substantially worse than her brothers so I didn't think of her as "fussy."
Eliminated dairy in desperation - and in five days she gained *eight
ounces.* We didn't have the bloody stools, thank goodness - but at the time
I could find not one word about the possibility of slow/no weight gain
associated with allergies and was frantic to figure out what was wrong. She
remained highly sensitive for over two years - then gradually tolerated
foods that had upset her earlier. Now is a strong, healthy 10 year old.
