Researcher Jimi Francis, PhD, IBCLC did a poster presentation (poster 24) at
the 2007 ILCA conference re: comparison of single- electric pumping devices.
She looked at outcomes with 60 mothers randomized to 3 different pumps (so I
guess 20/pump type) and looked at outcomes with the three single electric
pumps -- Avent Isis IQ Uno, Medela Swing and Whittlestone, which I
understand is under the Dr. Brown's brand name now. The Whittlestone pump
triggered MER more quickly than the other two pumps and mothers obtained the
most milk in the least time with it.
