I apologize in advance for asking a question for a friend that deals
more with childbirth than BF but I hope someone can give me some
information. Please email me privately.

A friend of mine has a 2 year old boy. When he was born she had some
trauma to her tailbone. I am not clear on the details of the birth as I
did not know her then. Yesterday, 9/30/99, she had another baby and
despite her wishes for an intervention free birth, forceps were needed
to pull the baby up and over her tailbone as she pushed .

I remember reading about trauma to the tailbone and that sometimes,
while the ligaments are still relaxed from the childbirth hormones the
tailbone can be adjusted. Can anyone provide me with details about this?
What type of healthcare provider should she see? And how long does she
have to take advantage of the relaxed ligaments?

Thanks in advance,
Jennifer Mowatt
