<< Expressed milk can be kept in a common refrigerator at the
workplace or in a day care center. The US Centers for Disease control
and the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration agree that
human milk is not among the body fluids that require special handling
or storage in a separate container.>>>

I've been contacted regarding a situation wherein breastfeeding
employees are being told that they may not store their expressed milk
in a refrigerator that is open for employee use because human milk is
a bodily fluid that may be dangerous.

What's the take on the legalities of this situation? [California]
