I would add that the bucket style CAR SEATS, not baby carriers, as they are  
now called, are sometimes angled to encourage reflux.  I heard a speaker on  
the topic of the increase in diagnosis of GERD in infants attribute the 
increase  to babes spending so much time in car seats.  Of course, there were other  
thoughts, but that one was significant in the speakers opinion.
My shoulder could never have born the extra weight of baby plus car  seat.  I 
don't know how the moms do it.
