Sorry, but I must add to my previous post about the effects of some
essential oils on breastfeeding.  While I added that fennel, geranium, and
clary sage are beneficial in increasing milk supply, (as are jasmine,
caraway, anise and lemongrass) some oils which reduce milk supply are sage,
mint and parsley.  While peppermint seems to be beneficial in treating
mastitis another alternative might be looked into due to it being a member
of the mint family. The only other information I can obtain at present about
these particular oils is that they are also to be avoided during pregnancy.
Again, I suggest calling your local Certified Aromatherapist who should have
a list on hand of oils to avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding and
avoided by infants and children.

Thinking I need a bigger selection in my home library ...
