One good book to get on planning conferences was "How
to put on a Great Confernece" by Adolfo Street Publications, P.O. Box
490, Santa Fe, NM 87504-0490, (505) 473-4433.  It gives you the practical
things to think about for a professional looking conference.  I think I
first ordered it through my Toastmaster's magazine.
