With the child being hospitalized, I am sure there is a pediatric
dietitian that would certainly be of some help to this mother.  Medium
chain triglycerides need to be added to the "skim breastmilk" to allow
the baby to grow properly.  Tell your friend to find the dietitian to
work with her.
