Never say "never", Maria.  It's possible.  It's just that when there is one, 
always look for the other, as labial (labial) ties tend to go with a 
tongue-tie. In fact, it is wise to check for other midline defects, if only 
to rule them out. Examples: tongue-tie, lip tie, undiagnosed partial cleft 
of the soft palate. If you find on investigation that a baby has only the 
lip tie, tnothing else, hat's one lucky baby.
