Among the silliest things I ever heard a health professional say about
breastfeeding was that no mothers in her practice should drink soft drinks
because "the baby will get gas" . When pressed for the WHY? she said the
carbonation would pass through- I still laugh when I think of a bottle of
bubbly breastmilk!\
