Thanks to Dawn and Lorna for bringing this subject up.  I have long felt
the need for such a product.  In fact, I rarely use the smaller
ones-they don't accomodate very many moms' nipples!  However, I don't
think anyone makes them yet, at least not in the thin silicone variety.
I suspect what was seen at the conferences was the larger flanges for
breast pumps (plastic like the regular ones, not the blown glass
expensive style that used to be the only option for the mom with
quarter-sized nipples).
At one conference I was talking with the Medela rep and bemoaning the
lack of larger shields.  The individual sounded interested (above and
beyond the usual salesperson's "interest" in what a potential purchaser
is saying).  Perhaps if enough of us who wish such a product were
avvailable were to write, they might consider developing such an option.
