Sharon said,
"My job as an LC is to help women who may be experiencing difficulty
in=
breastfeeding, for whatever reason. It is not my job to change her=
lifestyle or her belief system. I provide information and help her to=

devise a care plan that will work for her." and
"We give out accurate information. What a=
mom does with that information is entirely up to her."

Thanks for this reminder, Sharon. Sometimes it IS too easy to get
caught up in how we feel a mother OUGHT to be breastfeeding that we lose
sight of the fact that she is the one to make the decision. We
certainly can point out potential drawbacks (or perhaps "challenges" is
a better word)to a path she may be taking, but we have to let her make
the final decision and then do whatever we can to help make that
decision work out as much as possible.
