LOL, my very cow's milk allergic son,  (only BF 3 mo, back in the day we didn't know much) never did drink milk after weaning from meat based formula at a  year (bet you never heard of that one! Cost $1/day and hubbie made $50/week!)  .  He's a 6' slim 50 years old now.  Does eat cheese. 
 
I'm not sure if it is just Americans who have such a holy reverence for Cow's milk and think everyone needs it.   Pat in SNJ
