Dear Marianne,

The Dominican Republic has a very much alive LLL-group in the Capital, as well as in Santiago.
My friend Yanet Olivares runs the Santo Domingo group and has done so for many years. The group meets at the Codetel Club (close to the Diamond Mall).
This is their page (made by Yanet's son):
http://lllid.org/dominicana/page1/page1.php

And this is how to contact Yanet and the other leaders in Santo Domingo:
Yanet (809) 853-7666 [log in to unmask]
http://lllid.org/dominicana/page6/page6.php

Obviously, all the pages on this site are in Spanish.
The meetings, as they are for locals, are usually in Spanish, but many ladies speak English.

This question has made me homesick...
Hope this helps,
Kind regards,
