Hello,
I am writing a professional article on safe weight management techniques for
post-partum lactating mother's. I am looking for documented info on how much
milk is contained in the breasts so that as practitioner's and women
measure weight they subtract the milk. So far I have found that it ranges
between 23-27 oz. Is that correct? Also, what about moms who are tandem
nursing and moms nursing multiples?

Does anyone have research/clinical experience on the expected or typical
rate and amount of post-partum water weight loss? I have found info
supporting a typical loss of 5-8 pounds in 3-4 weeks.

How about changes in the uterus as it shrinks - how much it weighs while
still large and how much is ways when it shrinks. And need, scientific data
on how breastfeeding works to shrink uterus. The time this typically takes?

Any other resources on the topic are appreciated.

Many Thanks!!

Smiles,
