It will be very hard to convince this doctor of the benefits of
breastmilk but you could try.  I think that the first thing would be
"A Fresh Look at the Risks of Artificial Infant Feeding" by Marsha Walker
JHL 9:97-107, 1993.  It has a long bibliography of other things that you
might want to look at.

I would also look at the 1995 Facts about breastfeeding from LLLI.  It
has a list of facts with references.  A new factsheet is published every
year.

Also look at some of the work of Alan S. Cunningham.
