I apologize for not replying sooner. We lost power in a thunderstorm on Sunday afternoon and just got it back tonight (Tuesday evening).

I visited the mother on Sunday and baby is showing some improvement. He is not tiring at the breast and is feeding more quickly. He also slept for the longest period ever on Sunday. He is now able to lift his tongue, where before, seemed glued to the floor of his mouth.

He will sometimes allow a deeper latch and sometimes falls into a shallow latch creasing the base of mom's nipple. Strangely enough, he has a harder time with biological nurturing positions. Nipple tilting in cross cradle hold seems to work the very best.

I have suggested CST to mom. I will keep you all updated. I am so excited that I was able to see this posterior tongue tie. I thank Catherine Watson Genna for her book which I studied from cover to cover for this knowledge.
