Excuse me but WHAT anesthesia is that powerful??? General anesthesia is out
of the body very shortly.....IV clears failrly quickly....what about locals for
laproscopic? I have had IV sedation and anesthesia for several procedures
over the years and felt pretty decent within a few short hours. Even nursed a
thirteen month old once as I was coming out of IV sedation at the oral
surgeon's. I understand your caution but this is really not necessary based on the
half-lifes of current meds. Moms who have cesareans are able to nurse within an
hour or two, even with a general.
