I am consulting with a midwife about a mom who is due with first baby in
one month. She has been bleeding from one nipple for about 2 weeks. Riordan
and Auerbach say "if the bleeding continues the woman should be medically
evaluated." But continues for how long? days? weeks? Does anyone know?
Also, if it does turn out to be intraductal papilloma, can a baby safely
nurse from a breast with the papilloma? This mother has a history of human
papilloma virus (one occurence, 10 years ago, vaginal, treated). Is this
intraductal papilloma related at all to h.p.v.?
I am currently no mail due to my 11 month old who rarely sleeps! Please
copy any responses to my e-mail address. Thank you!
