>I teach childbirth classes at a local hospital, but the same one will not
even
consider me as a teacher for their breastfeeding classes or their LC work.
The other hospital even makes the RN stipulation for their childbirth
educators!<

I continue to fight for keeping the one childbirth educator of a staff of
eight that is a non-RN. She's an outstanding childbirth educator but our
medical staff believes the same quality education is not provided if the CB
educator is not an RN. I have no reason to get rid of her other than their
complaints that she is not a nurse. IMNSHO, I think she does a better job
than any of our other educators, who are all RNs and she is the most
experienced of us all. A most complicated situation...

Just keep sticking to your guns...
