In response to the recent posting by Pearl S. regarding the mom given depo prior
to leaving the hospital: I have to wonder if this is truly hospital policy or
was this someone's individual or collective bias towards a mom with several
children who is in a lower socioeconomic group.  It also sounds to me like this
mom did not have the opportunity to give an informed consent. Oh sure she gave
consent but was she really given all the necessary info to make an informed
decision?
