Marie,
I loved the answers you have gotten, and thought I'd add one of the ways I
use to calm grandmas, moms and day care workers:

Treat ebm like raw ground beef:
        As soon as you get it home, you refrigerate it or freeze it.
        You never leave it to get warm on the counter.
        If it was frozen and then thawed, you use it or throw it away.

I find that when they hear this, it seems to reduce their terror of working
with breast milk and they do just fine.
