        Thanks all for your many letters of support and encouragement and cyberhugs while I was in the hospital.  Surgery went quickly and well, and I didn't wake up to find myself old and crumpled and wrinkled and gray, as I feared.  I think I actually look younger, and I am certainly about 6 lbs. lighter.
