Hi, I have yet to send an intro, but I'm a mom to 2 boys, planning
someday to pursue the IBCLC certification.

My youngest boy is 6 months old and has been in and out of the hospital
since he was 5 days old. IMHO, breastfeeding in the hospital setting,
IS nursing in public. In fact more IN PUBLIC than other settings, like
the grocery or the mall where people are doing other things OTHER THAN
looking at you and your baby.

I can't tell you how many doctors come into the room and are taken
aback that I am nursing my mind-you-very-small 6 month old-----I
recently told one after he said "Oh, oh I'll come back" that it was
okay with me if he came in the room because after all I wasn't
masturbating, I was simply feeding my child. ;)

That is to say, if they manage to nurse in the hospital, they can nurse
anywhere.
