Had a really difficult time getting a baby to nurse yesterday. Finally
discovered that baby did better in a traditional cradle hold than in
transitional or football hold. Nursed 25 minutes non-stop in cradle
hold.
When I mentioned to mom that baby didn't seem comfortable with a hand on
his neck, mom said, "He had the cord around his neck twice." Made sense
to me. Told her to just use cradle and sidelying for a while.
Always learning from moms.
