Dear Mechell and Everybody:
Mechell describes a situation where the DME-stores are only open M-Fri 9-5.
So what do folks do who need walkers or oxygen concentrators after hours? That
could be a model for LC practice. Couldn't a woman rent a pump from the DME
place and then get a consultation from the LC to show her how to work the
pump? If a woman has a medical need for a pump, she most likely needs a LC. If
she is pumping for a return to paid employment or to school, couldn't a LC
make a different charge for instruction in equipment only? Warmly, Nikki
