How is it been administered to the child? I hope she didn't feed it to the baby, but just painted the inside of the mouth.
GV is not meant to be absorbed into the system, but rather to work locally only where applied.

Has anyone ever had a baby develop purple spots on their scalp after the administration of Gentian Violet orally to baby for treatment of thrush? I have a mom who is experiencing this with her baby, and it's not something I've ever seen or heard of before.
