Do you all routinely include the various methods of natural family planning
when discussing birth control with clients? We've learned here that docs
don't, and moms who show up at our pregnant/postpartum group are often
furious when they find out NFP exists and nobody told them. We had a
Creighton Model instructor come as a guest speaker a few months ago, and
now NFP is a hot topic that comes up at every meeting. I'm taking the
Creighton classes just so that I can share it with moms, and I call it OCD
NFP.

Does anyone have personal first or secondhand experience with Creighton and
breastfeeding? My instructor has asked me about it, and the reliability of
LAM, etc, but I know so few moms who actually nurse in a really attached,
unlimited way, that I don't really trust it. I can't remember whose
definition of total/ecological bf includes a daily nap with a baby, but I
use that criterion, because it is indicative of the family lifestyle.
