I would like your opinions for a mom who I've seen recently;

She has a 2 month old who is 17 lbs.  Her doctor told her to not feed the baby every time she fusses.  Do you think she should change her nursing patterns to reduce weight gain?

also this baby gets a rash which looks like a newborn rash on the cheek away from the breast.  It appears when nursing and disapears about 15  minutes later.
