I think this is the sound byte I'd go with -- remind him over and over and over and over as needed re: BF during these first months is better than a million dollars.

Could reinforce with Dr. Harvey Karp's 4th trimester concept -- and/or Ashley Montague's 9 months re: extrauterine fetus. Just as intrauterine fetus needed mother's body for nourishment, so does extrauterine fetus. Just as he wouldn't have compromised his child's health by wanting early delivery so he could help provide care, neither would he want to compromise this period in his child's life -- IF he truly means his statement re: "...spend a million dollars if it's the best thing for baby."
