Avent is a major Code violator and has been for years. NABA (the National Alliance for Breastfeeding Advocacy) is the IBFAN organization that monitors the Code in the US. We picked up Avent for Code violations in both of the US country reports. We picked up Dr. Brown's bottle in the second report. Both of these reports are available from NABA-just email me if you are interested in Code issues. Advertising to the public and making claims that the bottles or artificial nipples are just like breastfeeding idealize bottle-feeding, are false and misleading, and are not based on science.
