My back of the envelope calculations (values are approximate and vary  
a little from formula to formula):
1 scoop = 8 g
1 scoop per 50 ml water (this makes a little more than 50 ml formula,  
but call it 50 ml)
1 can of powdered formula is 900 g

therefore 1 can makes 5600 ml.
At 850 ml per day, that's 6.5 days of formula
Which means 4.6 cans per month

1 can costs 10-13 dollars for cheap formula in Australia, call it  
$12.00 ("premium" brands are 15-19 dollars)

therefore formula costs $55/month ($45 US)

Is formula really twice as expensive in the US?
