Katy:  I think this mom has systemic yeast problems and should seek out
full family treatment as well as look at the research by Truss (THE MISSING
DIAGNOSIS) and Crook (THE YEAST CONNECTION and WOMEN AND THE YEAST
CONNECTION).  I'd also refer you to the LN archives for the many yeast
posts and to my Midwifery Today article on treating Breast Yeast (email me
if you don't have access to MT).

Has she tried long-course (4 weeks of fluconazole?) plus topicals such as
gentian violet or clotrimazole?
