Lynn,
Please remember that while this topic has been "discussed ad nauseum", there
is not a consensus on Lactnet. I still contend that infrequent stooling is
not normal for any baby. I have asked every single holistic practitioner of
every bent I come across and all agree, w/o exception, that this is not
normal. This includes homeopaths, naturopaths, PT's, chiropractors, etc. I
know that every time I post about this, someone writes about their child who
did this and is perfectly normal--had no food allergies, etc. That doesn't
convince me. Without exception, every baby who I have referred for care to
the above mentioned practitioners has changed to a frequent stooling pattern.
I would contend that unless you treated your child who had "no problems", you
cannot really know that he had no problems. Many people have numerous or
severe allergies or sensitivities w/o ever being aware that they have them.
Allergies are, of course, not the only cause of infrequent stooling.
