I have to agree with 2 points made about this video. Like Heather, I am not
very comfortable showing it to a class because of the concerns she mentions.
But, like Roni, I do think that it is a great illustration of  a newborn's
capability to go right to the breast & feed IF we don't interfere with the
process. As a result I have only shown this video once or twice, but I do
like to tell my childbirth & breastfeeding classes about the study & the
video. I have not totally written off showing the video, I just need to find
the right context in which to show it.

  life,  with an unmedicated mother and baby, the nursing couple would come

is to stress that all mammals have the reflex to self attach. Think about
this, the reflex is there from birth, it is only when we intervene that the
baby loses the ability to latch on by itself.>>
