# baby has been nursing for 2 hours at a time /---/ Mom says she is
nursing about every 3 hours. #

I once had a mom like this. Mom said her baby wants to breastfeed all
the time.

Turned out she meant she breastfed the baby for 1,5 - 2 hours +
bottle, then there were 3 - 4 hours until the next feed, then
breastfed for 1,5 - 2 hours + bottle, etc. The baby was at breast only
5 times per 24 hours, and the "breastfed for 1,5 - 2 hours" included
in fact diapering and communicating as well.

The mother was disappointed because she didn't have enough milk, yet
she wasn't willing to try increasing the number of breastfeedings per
day, "I can't spend more time breastfeeding the baby, I have to cook,
clean, eat, meet friends, do shopping, you know!"
