One though provoking question. Why are doctors regarded as the only folk who
are able to clip a frenulum? Or is my impression wrong? Do any LC's or RN's
perform this procedure?

Reminds me of the old days when only doctors were allowed to do blood
pressure readings.

I ask this question because I'm not sure that it is always in the mothers
interest to be passed from provider to provider and end up having the
procedure done by a total stranger who possibly knows very little about the
breastfeeding process.

Maybe this should be part of the basic skills required for the IBLCE?
