In a message dated 99-12-09 00:08:40 EST, you write:

<< In my current issue of Harrowsmith, a country magazine, there is a short
report on some research done with dairy cows. The researchers had people
stand by the cows while they were being milked...The result: the cows who
were treated kindly produced an average of 10% more milk.

Maybe this would encourage hospital nurses to be a little kinder... >>

What about the potential effect of support, or lack thereof, from husband,
family and friends? Would think they would have more of a long-term effect.
Thanks for sharing the info from the study--really interesting.

Karen
